Fermoy 4 – 0 Carrigaline United
Fermoy U17s hosted Carrigaline United at Carrig Park on Sunday last , the visitors one place above us in 4th in League 1. Carrigaline started the brighter pushing our lads back for much of the opening period, but to our boys credit they fought themselves into the game creating some good scoring chances. We took the lead just before half time when our captain Ronan Morrsion ran onto a Rob Broderick through ball to finish calmly and put us 1 up at the break .
The lads went out for the second half and contested every ball and chased down lost causes as they have done in all games to date. This high pressure game resulted in a Rob Broderick penalty and then another Rob goal, this time from a free kick to put us 3-0 up. The scoring was completed with a lovely 4th as Conor DeRoiste finished brilliantly from a fine lobbed through ball from Ronan. Next up an away trip to Blarney .

Fermoy 6 – 0 Lakewood, U17 League.
Our U17’s welcomed Lakewood Athletic to Carrig Park Sunday hoping to add to last weeks good result. We started the far brighter team forcing Lakewood into some last ditch defending early on. This resulted in 3 quick goals scored before half time, with 2 clever finishes from Sean Motherway either side of a neatly dispatched penalty from Rob Broderick to put us 3-0 up at half time . The lads didn’t hold back in the 2nd half with Sean Motherway completing a fine hat-trick latching on to yet another fine through ball from captain Ronan Morrisson . Then Rob Broderick scored a second and Niall Hazlewood, returning from a long term injury, dispatching a fine effort into the top corner to make it 6-0 . Great effort from the whole squad today.

Churchvilla 2 – 5 Fermoy
On the back of 2 defeats in their opening 2 league games, our u17s travelled to Cloyne to play Churchvilla knowing a win was badly needed, We started well from the off pushing Churchvilla back for most of the first half leading to a defensive error before half time with the defender heading in to his own net to put us 1-0 at half time. We started the 2nd half well again and Dale Dawson & Conor DeRoiste scored two goals in quick succession to go 3-0 up. To their credit Churchvilla never gave up and pulled a goal back. This seemed to wake our lads again and they made it 4-1 with a penalty from Rob Broderick. Churchvilla pulled another back to make it 4-2 before a fine run and hit from Jordan Murphy from the edge of the box made it 5-2 to fermoy. Next up is a home game next Sunday at Carrig Park at 3pm
