A home tie against Leeside was the first game of the season at home. For the opening 10 minutes it was all Leeside who created servral good scoring chanes. Fermoy goal keeper Cian Condon pulled off 3 fantastic saves and after that wake-up call the Fermoy lads stepped up their game and took the lead with a penalty to go one up. Just before half time Leeside got a lucky goal. Then, 5 minutes in to the second half Conor Morrison got a fantastic goal to make it 2-1 to Fermoy . The boys kept going and the 3rd goal came from Jake Carr and 1 more goal from Jeff Ennis from 20 yards to top off a good home win. Final score 4-1 to Fermoy.
